Introduction

LinguaChats.ai is operated by Xotic Tech OÜ, Estonia. We provide an OpenAI-compatible API for specialized AI writing models. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you use our website and API, why we collect it, and who we share it with.

Information We Collect

Account Information

• Your email address and login credentials (passwords are handled by Supabase Auth; we never see them in plain text)
• API keys you create, stored only as SHA-256 hashes
• Your credit balance and purchase history (order ID, pack, amount and credits granted). Card details are handled by Polar.sh and never reach us.

Usage Information

• Per-request metadata: model used, token counts, credits charged, timestamp and the API key used
• Standard request data (such as IP address and browser type) processed by our hosting provider to serve the site and API

We do not store the text of your prompts or the completions generated for you.

How We Use Your Information

• Run your account and authenticate API requests
• Meter usage and manage your credit balance
• Fulfil credit purchases and handle refunds
• Send important service and account emails
• Prevent abuse and keep the service secure
• Respond to support requests

Information Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers (sub-processors) we need to run LinguaChats.ai, when required by law, or to protect our rights and prevent fraud.

Sub-processors

• Supabase: authentication and database
• Vercel: website and API hosting
• Novita.ai: model inference. Your prompts are sent to Novita.ai to generate completions.
• Polar.sh: payments. Polar is the merchant of record and handles card data, invoices, taxes and refunds under its own buyer terms.

Data Security

Data is encrypted in transit. API keys are stored only as SHA-256 hashes, passwords are managed by Supabase Auth, and payment card data is handled entirely by Polar. Access to our systems is restricted to the people who need it to run the service.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access and get a copy of your personal data
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Delete your account and associated data (email support@linguachats.ai)
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, such as the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon)
